A boy.  An old Land Rover.  A dream of adventure.

Welcome to 'the Little Blue Truck Project'....

This project began with our boy, Victor, having the dream to build his own vintage Land Rover.  Not just add on some accessories, but a full on build!  The goal?  To finish the build over the next 2 years, and upon turning driving age, take it and another vintage Land Rover on a BIG ADVENTURE!   What kind of 'adventure'....a 2100 mile route we have patched together from existing routes with approximately 70% offroad!   (and no, we are not disclosing the route until right before we leave)

Why this page?   Several reasons, one, we want to document his first build!  Second, we hope that it encourages others to 'Explore Creation'!   And lastly, we want to show the passion and adventurous spirit that lies within us all!

BUT....that is not all!  Victor not only is taking on his first build, he is determined to do it on his own (for the most part), and that includes paying for the build.  He wants it to be 'his'.

How can you be a part and help?  Since he is too young to get a normal teenage job, we had to be creative....so, he has designed a logo for the 'Little Blue Truck Project'...working together with his art teacher at Ambrosio Art, they have come up with an awesome design!

WANT ONE?  Get them here, just look for the little blue truck!  Little Blue Truck Project T-shirts

All proceeds from the sale of 'The Little Blue Truck Project' t-shirts will go to help pay for the build of his first Land Rover and the adventures to come!

I LOVED getting to work with one of my favorite kids to design a logo for his project! If you haven't heard about it yet it's called The Little Blue Truck Project through Genesis Overland, llc .
Victor has a big vision that each of you could be a part of! He is raising money and rebuilding an old Land Rover himself to journey on a cross country trip with his dad when he turns 16! What 13 year old do you know that has such drive, vision and ambition!!? Victor.
Buy your t-shirts here to support this kid's vision. If anyone is worthy of your support, it's this kiddo. And I don't say that lightly.
If you want to understand the heart on this kid, keep reading, although lengthy, it's worth the read. I cry tears of joy everytime I tell it.
Victor is kind and respectful and puts his whole heart into everything he does. Over the past year I have had the pleasure of seeing him in class and everyday in the halls (he never fails to tell me good morning with a big smile on his face) he works hard in every class and he's uncommonly kind to his peers. Especially those who may normally get looked over. This year I had a student come to me for the better part of a semester that didn't speak English, trying to learn. She often came in crying and just feeling lonely, I can't imagine being 14 years old, in a new country  that speaks a language you don't speak and trying to make friends. And Victor understood just this. Without any prompting, he made it a point to not only befriend her, but buy a English to Spanish help book, not for her, but for him to learn enough Spanish to speak to her in a language she understood. Wow. Talk about reflecting the heart of Jesus on this kid. He also invited her to his church which has classes for English learners. At 13 years old the emotional intelligence of this kid is unparalleled, even in most adults. He greeted her everyday for weeks making sure she knew she was seen, valued, and had a friend.
He loves big. He works hard. And if any 13 year old can make this dream happen, it's Victor. But he's going to need OUR support because it takes a village, a TRIBE. And I'm so grateful for mine!
Support The Little Blue Truck Project and encourage others to read this story! Let's make his dream a reality!
I am so proud of you Victor!  - Bianca A.

Victor, and all of us at Genesis Overland, want to thank everyone in advance for your support of his dream, the build, and the adventures to come!

The Story Continues.....we will be updating this page regularly with new pics/videos and information on the build!
